So most of us probably agree Putin has it wrong, but are you going to come out and admit that well recorded western meddling in Ukraine prior to recent events has been more than unhelpful?
Again, for the record, Iām antii-Putin.

Ukraine has the right to determine to whether she surrenders or not and what terms are favourable to her.
Only the Ukrainians can decide that.
Meddling? No its called politics and self interest, and if Ukraine wants to join the EU and NATO so be it.
People who say the US interfering was in Ukraine need to wake up, global powers do just that.
China has bought Africa.
The Soviet Union did that.
The British Empire did it. (The great game with the Russia as an example)
Mock, shock indignation over the USās actions are politically ignorant and bias at best as can that example be used for the Russian/Georgia invasion?
Simply put this is about a nation that has either been lured and or now wants to move its interest to democracy (or whatever you want to call it) and Russia not wanting to allow its sphere of influence to diminish, there have been elections since the Americans have supposedly ruined Ukraine and guess what?
They still chose to look west and still chose to move west.
That is a reality.
Its politics.
I sincerely doubt an ex KGB officer wouldnāt genuinely know about what his next door neighbour thought and was doing, he knew they werenāt nazis (an outdated view and slur due to the Ukrainians alliance (in some part not all) with the axis powers due to centuries of Russian subjugation not the modern Azov Battalion distraction crap) but it was a wedge and it an age old tactic of divide and conquer, he did in Crimea, then Donbas and Luhansk.
Its not about NATO either another red herring, NATO are already on his doorstep and thanks to his actions theyāll be an awfully lot more closer and thereāll be an awfully lot more of NATO troops on his doorstep.
And what is an acceptable compromise?
Why is it a slur?
Are you posting from outside Kyiv?
So do the armed forces of other countries allow their members to wear Neo-Nazi symbols on their uniforms, or is it just Ukraine?
Is that a neo nazi symbol or a symbol used by neo nazis? Nice try.
So this justifies Putinās invasion?
Also the letter Z the Russians are using is doing quite well as a fascist symbol.
Weāre not presently discussing whether the invasion is justified. You wanted to talk about your favourite subject, Nazis.
So thereās your freedom loving Ukrainians, the descendants of those that so willingly adopted the Nazi cause as its own, still wearing symbols their ancestors did.
Check out the little SSās going around the motif.
Pap,Pap Pap.
Do all Ukrainian where that badge?
No I doubt they do, there are 44 Million Ukrainians and the fascist Azov Battalion is approx 2500 in size.
There are fascists everywhere (and their defenders Pap) so do you want Putin to invade his hometown of St Petersburg and liberate them
Putin doesnāt like football but he could bomb there so he couldnāt be called a hypocrite
You can find small holes in any argument to fit your agenda, the thing is to look at the wider picture and accept life isnāt black and white Pap.
There you go, yet again, belittling any view or comment that doesnāt fit the rightspeak coming from Barryworld. Thereās no mock, shock or indignation about US meddling coming from me, just pointing it out.
Iām surprised that such a colossus of āincisiveā political commentary on the situation chooses to return under a new name to post in this little backwater and not out in the big wide world?
No-one else will suffer him.
I think is you look up at all the posts I havenāt been rude, Iāve been baited and I respond to the person whoās responded to me.
Seems a polite way of doing this if you ask me.
There is a massive difference between having domestic bellends like your hero Tommy Robinson about and letting bellends like your hero Tommy Robinson serve the armed forces wearing Nazi paraphernalia.
I shouldnāt have to point that out, but since you feel the situation is identical, I really have to point that out.
We have convicted fascists in our army Pap, loyalist and republicans also, everything mirrors life, thereās racists in the police also, and the supermarket.
New nations have this more as well, this is a historical fact not a Beret statement as well.
There are many reasons for this as well and we can talk about that if you want? But most importantly that shouldnāt stop the majority of Ukraine (they have had elections since 2014) wanting to decide to go what ever way they want to, just saying they have fascists there so they deserve it is criminal neglect, what about the people who are massively in the majority wanting a better life? Or a life they perceive as better?
Can you comment on the post concerning Russia and its fascists? Russia is a hyper nationalist country minus the swastika also in the main, why? Its history.
And the question no one on here has asked or I havenāt seen is there a point in time where this could have been averted? And what would have stopped Putin doing this? This is part III of his denial of EU expansion as he sees it and a denial of Georgia and Ukraine moving out of Russiaās sphere of influence.
We donāt let our armed forces wear Nazi symbols.
The Ukrainians do. In 2022.
Try to deflect all you want.
No its terrible and shouldnāt be happening but Bandera is still celebrated sadly in Ukraine (again Russia plays a part in that)
That doesnāt give Putin the right to bomb, kill and maim people.
What is your point in pointing that out?
Read this, doesnāt sound fascist to me.
What gave the illegally installed Ukrainian government the right to shell Donbass for eight years?
Doesnāt the self-determination of the people of that region matter?
They have had an election since Pap.
As for Donbas/Luhansk its an internal war with proxies from Russia propping it up, they wonāt leave so what do you expect to happen?
This would have happened if Russians from Russia didnāt invade a sovereign nation.
I am all for a vote for their leaving and becoming republics, I am a democrat.
Pap I honestly think youāre being contrary in attempting to find an edgy nuanced view of not outright supporting Putin but not not lambasting him either, it isnāt black and white but Putin is wholly wrong in his invasion, legally and morally.
