Which particularly annoyed me at 10am yesterday when, searching for some breakfast I found 8 kebab shops within 150m radius of my location serving Kebabs, and nothing else open
Well open a bigos stew shop, free market economy, if nothing else is open Iâd blame them and not people that are open.

Putinâs actions have nothing whatsoever to do with the long term roots of global poverty and hunger, no matter how much you want to pretend that every problem in the world can be laid at his door. Ending the war will ease the short term crisis, but it will do little or nothing to solve the long term problems of hunger in Africa etc, which has been going on since I was a teenager and Iâm in my 70s now. Up to 40% of food produced worldwide is wasted every year. Because feeding the hungry doesnât make the rich and powerful more rich and powerful which is the only thing that matters to them. Sadly thatâs the world we have created. The only obstacle to African countries feeding themselves is how much of the land is used for cash crops like coffee, cocoa, palm oil etc. European colonialism and the subsequent economic colonialism are the main causes of hunger and starvation in Africa.
Inconvenient though it may be, we should never forget that prosperity in Europe, North America and Australia is based on colonialism, achieved by exactly the same tactics Putin is using in the Ukraine. This isnât justification for Putinâs actions, but we in Europe, North America and Australia are part of the problem, not part of the solution regarding world hunger. President Dwight Eisenhower said that money spent on arms took food out of the mouths of the poor. And he was a Republican, imagine that now!

That is lovely but that doesnât detract from the fact millions will starve because of Putin. Of course our prosperity is based upon colonialism, who the fuck would deny that? Most if not all cultures are based upon the sufferance of someone else.
How are Australia a part of the World food issue when theyâre a food exporter?
Starvation in Africa is of many reasons old and new, past and present and quite frankly that would be another discussion altogether.
Russia is stealing food, food is not getting to the poorest.
Africa also is a raft of nations as you know and not all can grow those crops youâve mentioned in fact only 10% of the World coffee comes from Africa and less than that from palm oil.

The guys in my Van are bouncing, seems the mission & new proposals went down well with Zelensky.
The official photographs from the trip have been uploaded using my mobile as a hotspot,the guys are hopeful the mission message may give Putin some room to allow grain exports to restart.
