đŸ‡ș🇩 The War/Invasion in/of Ukraine

Look, I just hope he isn’t actually in Ukraine.

I hope he rejected the goading of Liz Truss and me.

A double act made in hell

:joy:

I’m sure Liz Truss was made somewhere else :metal:

Not sure about Liz Truss but I think Priti Patel was made by Saruman in the pits under Isengard.

“Everything now depends on what [the west] gives us,” said Skibitsky. “Ukraine has one artillery piece to 10 to 15 Russian artillery pieces. Our western partners have given us about 10% of what they have.”

Sounds like the blame game is starting should things go tits-up.

No blame game, the west hasn’t done enough as they’re too concerned about their economies. This is while a country is liquidated, it appears might is right after all. If so just press the button we’re fucked.

Are you advocating nuclear annihilation for no other reason than your favorite war doesn’t appear to be going the way you want?

No war is a favourite of mine, I was being sarcastic, you’re back to opportunistic playing the poster again, its tiresome.

Not playing you at all Barry.

Not too long ago you sounded off on me for trying to bring levity to the topic and said you didn’t recognise the attempt. You’re saying you were trying to be sarcastic, well, going by your usual form, probably nobody recognised your “attempt”

As for “ you’re back to opportunistic playing the poster again, its tiresome.” You’re just trying to deflect from the fact that your modus operandi is to try and get a reaction so you can then play the victim. We know you Barry. We see right through you Barry. Now that’s tiresome.

Grow up lad.

Does it say who’s winning?

No one wins in a war.

Fucking hell.

I’m at Medyka.

The Border Crossing.

Story later

So 2 Viano Van’s- picked up the delegation & delivered them to their hotel. They bought us a very nice breakfast that set the tone for the day.
A trip into Rzezow (where Biden landed) trip to the old town & a coffee then their 1st meeting at their Help centre.
Fully engaged in fascinating conversations- about life here, Social Security & how the refugees are taken in, the countryside, places to see.
Then on to the actual border crossing.
6.2 kms traffic jam that takes a WEEK to cross the border (blus flashing lights past them for us) some cars from UK, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France. And trucks, hundreds of trucks.
But astonishingly even more CAR TRANSPORTERS. Thousands of used cars, surely they need more than used cars? But no.
Ukraine dropped import tax and everyone is buying cars :astonished:

The border was a mess portaloos that made Glasto long drops look like a Royal Flush, but calm, peaceful, organised. Tents from different charities, food kitchens serving meals & soups and information points, media & volunteers.
Fascinating. I was about 10 yards from Ukraine, didnt go too close or get in the way.
Lots of people stopped to chat. Amazing.

Then on to Przemysl a beautiful old town on a hill, from where their journey to safety (and now back home) begins.

The station complex has volunteers, free rail tickets soup kitchen with great looking food, even a Ukrainian Consulate.

Busy, calm, relaxed, organised.
A train pulled in, hundreds got off to cross to the connecting train down to Medyka & home.

We had an ice cream while the team had a lunch meeting with the on site guys. Now we are at Tescos.

Yep. They shut down operations in Poland in January so their supermarket is now the Humanitarian Aid Centre. The new arrivals come here are given a bed and food while they are processed, apply for local social security numbers or simply wait for a train further West.

The border more later

More later work time

The delega8includes the operational head of the anti-social abuse & exploitation committee.

You will be pleased to know I showed him all the posts from you lot & WhatsApps from mates asking about Au Pairs & Babysitters back some months ago
:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

And wow he has been Interesting to talk to.
The chat about funding, donations and the impact on projects in other parts of the world. Jeez it would make a helluva documentary/newsnight special.
The decisions people are having to make.

So from border to the station they all set off around Europe from. Amazing organisation

Then we went to Tescos.

Tesco closed here iin January, so the supermarket is now the first port of call for arrivals, food & a bed & explanation of the process, vouchers for train tickets or allocation of a hostel while something more permanent is found.

Cars from Finland, Belgium, Holland and loads from UK

All the big charities working with State & National Government & the UN
Astonishing

I need to upload the Video of “The Queue” for the border.
Burning bandwidth getting it onto FB atm for Mrs P_F & kids to see.
Will find a way.

The fascist cunts are winning as they’re now saying they were lying cunts.
