Itâs important to oppose this whitewashing exercise.
Though the monopoly media want to present this war â like every war in which Nato has a stake â as a clash between good and evil, it should not be too difficult for socialists to grasp that Russia can have cynically exaggerated the role of Ukrainian fascists to justify an aggressive war, and Ukraine can still have a genuine problem with fascist militias.

Also why did nationalist figures and far right activism come into Ukraine? The Soviet Union had a huge part to play in this populist reaction, the irony and hypocrisy not mentioned on here is Stalin sorry Putin is aligned to Serbia, and I think they have quite a few fascists in their politics.

Having a look through the Guardianâs live news today. Whatâs interesting is that some of it is at least two days old. Saw the same reports on those unreliable YouTube channels I watch.

News âpapersâ these days seem to be more about advertising revenue than actual news so Iâm not surprised theyâre picking up their stories 2nd/3rd/4th hand tbh
