šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡¦ The War/Invasion in/of Ukraine

No I didn’t read what you wrote today, I must have missed the bit where I have to, I’ll set an alarm for next time I promise.

You didn’t even read my last post ffs - the original had an article in it, which you clearly didn’t read.

If you’re going to accuse people of not reading your posts you need to maybe make yourself whiter than white and do others the courtesy of reading theirs first maybe?

I suspect you aren’t as well read as you profess.

Clearly you aren’t if you profess to be bored and post about UK GDPR instead.

Stop embarrassing yourself son/mush :joy:

I had a day of gdpr thats all, as a sign of graciousness I’ve now read of informative piece (copy and paste), if its about the missiles didn’t I a few hours later post a similar from Al Jazeera?

Various videos which explain that:

HIMARS is not going to turn the tide of the war.
It’s an empty gesture by Biden to The US war lobby.
Biden has given up on Ukraine.
ā€œGiving HIMARS to Ukrainian forces is like giving a hand grenade to a monkeyā€.
Given Russia has already decimated Ukraine’s MLRS and anti air capabilities there’s no reason to believe they won’t do that to these too.
Ukrainians don’t have the logistical capabilities to operate these things.
There’s a high chance Russian missile defence system and GPS jamming capabilities are going to render them ineffective anyway.

This is what you want to believe as you’re pro invasion and pro Putin, we don’t know the reality yet as it hasn’t happened you quilt.

I’m deferring to the military experts above Barry.

It’s not something we know absolutely nothing about , we know what these systems are, we know how many of them there are and we know what the Russian and Ukrainian capabilities are. I would suggest there’s easily enough information for educated people to predict what’s going to happen.

Your post reeked of wishful thinking, let’s see what actually happens, there’s experts on both sides and they both can’t be right, I know who’s on the right side of history though,

For fucks sake Barry, let me show you what wishful thinking looks like:

Bayraktar drones
NLAWs
Javelins
Switchblades
M777 Howitzers

All of these were supposed to turn the tide of battle in Ukraine’s favour (when according to you, Ukraine were already winning anyway), they’ve all been proven to be shit or ineffective, and generally Ukraine have been sent out of date shitty versions of them in any case.

Wishful thinking is believing that the HIMARS is going to be any different.

They have and they did, Russia wanted Kyiv and Ukraine as a whole, it failed.
You failed to answer the question or statement I wrote concerning you a few posts up.
You’re pro invasion and pro Russian this in this war.

You can deny it if you want, put it all to bed.

I also like you edited post concerning the axe to grind pedophile Ritter, you can ask for my statements to be deleted of course you can, they may be irrelevant and inconvenient to you but they may help others in the context of the situation.

If this is true deny that isn’t fascist.

And you’re turning this thread into a pro invasion one, at least have the balls to come out with you’re pro Putin and invasion.

@Not_Barry - I’ve removed your posts where you keep asking a question that has already been answered.

Your world boss, all I asked for confirmation was he is known multiple pedophile, far enough, I won’t ask again.

We’ve discussed the Scott Ritter situation loads of times here already. The only reason you keep bringing it up is that you’re not smart enough to engage with the arguments and you want the opinion buried fast.

I don’t really like Scott Ritter as a person or a journalist. If you’d bothered to do the barest amount of research, you’ll know that he is a divisive figure that talks a load of shit.

He reported the torture and murder of a journalist called Gonzalo Lira, who turned up a few days later alive and well.

You can’t be arsed to look any further than surface deep, so of course you would not know this.

Pap don’t assume anything, he has an axe to grind and he’s talks shite, like Galloway and others.
I’m made up also you don’t like Scott Ritter, I really am, he’s pained but will get over it.

Previously you claimed that Putin was a fascist when asked to provide proof you cited Dugin, when asked to provide proof that Dugin is a fascist and has any influence over Putin you cited a supposed quote from a short post on his Facebook page. Which was at worst completely libellous and at best an extremely distorted and poor mistranslation of what he wrote. This guy is an academic political philosopher, he has a huge body of written texts where he describes in agonising detail his political views but you decided to quote a post on his Facebook page. Fine. serious stuff. Now you are asking me to watch a video on the personal opinions of a reasonably senior but retired former military man and politician as if this is going to be some kind of massive gotcha. Fine. Which bit are you claiming is fascist?

Fascist expansionism and denying a sovereign state and then others to exist.
Putin by the way is a fascist as is Dugin.
Still haven’t answered about being pro Putin and pro invasion have you?

This isn’t quite right, this is what Ritter actually said:

And then there was a follow up message a few hours later clarifying that Lira’s status was unknown:

The weird thing is that Lira completely ignores this fact when he flips out on Ritter:

But from what I can see Ritter was only trying to raise awareness of Lira’s plight, so to me Lira’s accusations are out of order.

I saw another video where Ritter discusses the accusations very graciously but unfortunately I can’t find it anymore. Might have been deleted from YouTube.

In my opinion there’s more questions about Gonzalo Lira’s conduct than Ritters that arise over all this.

He can chat after the fact as much as he likes. The post you linked assumed the murder of ā€œGonzoā€ Lira.

Chat shit, get hit, as my daughter says.

Give me the quote(s) that you consider fascist. Then explain what it proves.

Agree that the post says that, but there is a follow up not long after clarifying the error. I don’t get what benefit Gonzalo Lira thinks Ritter gets out of reporting his death and why it should be thought of as anything other than a simple misunderstanding.
