He is a great example of a player where it is not working out for him at one Prem club - which then lets him go - turning up at another Prem club and things go much better.

I don’t know if his family moved to Merseyside with him but his wife is a local girl and he is from just north of Newbury so I guess we are an ideal location.
I think he has a huge incentive to do well for us.
And he has always spoken highly of the club and supporters.

You missed the bit where I said he’s been shit for 10 years, not against getting him but we shouldn’t be paying huge amounts when we need a centreback and we shouldn’t be paying anything for a season loan.
