Hasn’t it been rumoured AZ are interested in Hoedt? Is there a deal to be done there?

Wouldn’t that mean us paying €20m?

Worth every penny. Or indeed every cent.

SAINTS COOL NTCHAM INTEREST

Southampton showed initial interest in Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham but that is no longer expected to lead to a deal.

It’s understood Lyon and Porto are also interested in the 24-year-old, with Porto trying to sign Ntcham last summer.

Optus Sports, our local broadcaster has said Scott McTomenay could be an option? I have yet to hear anything about this. Anyone?

Not a bad idea, but cant see anyway Utd would let him go for a price we could afford.
Pretty sure we

  1. Want an upgrade on PEH in terms of “creativity”
  2. Want an player who will increase in value
  3. We have probably got no more than about £12m to spend

So, would you take back this ex-Hot Spuds player?

Not sure he’d be happy on the bench as cover for Redz tbh

Not sure he’d be happy with a 10th of the Salary… sadly he has proven to be one of those ho is simply happy raking in the cash as opposed to playing week in week out and enjoying playing…

Fair point, well made.

WALSALL SIGN ROSE

Jack Rose has re-joined Walsall on a permanent deal after being released by Southampton .

The 25-year-old goalkeeper played six matches for the Saddlers while on loan from the Premier League club last season.

Rose, who counts West Brom, Accrington and Crawley as former clubs, said on Walsall’s website: “I’m really pleased to come back. I was here last season and I really enjoyed my time here and I’m excited to get going.

“The one point for me will be to try and play as many games as I can. Robbo (Liam Roberts) and I push each other on, and it is good to have competition.”

Good move for him if he wasn’t going to get 1st team football this season

Strange, he was really rated couple of years ago as next big thing

He was. I’m not sure what’s happened, but hopefully the move will go through and he’ll do well for them.

If it was going to happen for him it should have been this coming season, but we bought Salisu instead.

Of course.
It could also have been Les Reed who rated him highly…
