I remember being linked with him last summer but he was insisting on being played as a central midfielder not as a full back, where he’d filled in at Arsenal. I think he went to WBA or somewhere and hardly set the world alight.
Considering his career still hasn’t taken off I wonder if his perspective has changed and he’s now grateful for any Premier League game time, regardless of his preferred position.
But, I’m also assuming that this could mean we are seriously considering letting Romeu leave for Spain so can say to AMN that there’s opportunities in midfield as well as providing full back cover. Would potentially tick both boxes.
I really cannot see us stopping Romeu from leaving if he wants to return to Spain as reported. Can’t say I’d blame him either, tbph.
He’s been good for us. Time to move on maybe.
