Goes in to the first team. I for one hope he’s given a game ahead of Djenepo at left back because Moussa gives me nightmares.
Fingers crossed he’s another Livramento or Shaw type of teenager. Not the small (see what I did there?) wimpy teens our academy has been producing for the last 5+ years.

So it feels like we’re going down the Dortmund route of buying cheap, but extremely talented youngsters, offering them first team football, and then selling them on for 5-10 times the price.
If this is the strategy going forward, then it’s pretty sound. Would also mean if we were relegated we’re not hit with a load of expensive contracts that we can’t afford to maintain in the Championship.

We are also profiting from the recognition of youngsters at these big spending clubs that their chances of actually getting a game are slim to none.

Yes, that thought had occurred to me when we picked up two young players from Chelsea. Not surprised they’d see better opportunities here than there.
Not a bad thing. They’ve been hoovering up talent for years only to send the poor bastards to Belgium. Lot of good Saints players have come from Chelsea.
