The Sotonians Transfers Thread

Yeah, he was going to Arsenal from the moment we bought him wasn’t he?

I think, after his strop, Morgan has behaved impecably and, like Pap, I do believe that they had a gentlemen’s agreement to let him go this summer…

And the other side of the coin to Morgan :-

Liverpool Echo are reporting that a deal has been agreed as well.

The sum is not really the issue for me. With the amount of time left on the contract, it’s reasonable, particularly if we have decent targets for re-investment in mind. It’s the destination. Fair play, Anfield is a temple of football, the game is taken very seriously in the city, and the money is better - but last season must show that the grass isn’t alway greener.

It’s the lure of playing regularly for England really, don’t play for a “big” club you don’t play for England.

Can anyone justify the selection of the Tottenham right back, or the Arsenal one, neither of whom play regularly for their clubs.

There are a few reports today saying that Schneiderlin will be confirmed as a Manchester United player on Wednesday.

At least it wasn’t Spurs.

Just some of the current names the mighty Saints are interested in

According to the press :astonished:

Imbula, Clasie,Vilhena,Gueye,Praet, Wijnaldum,Benassi.

Hopefully we sign Toby    and any two from the above.

Not so sure regarding Vlar from Villa.

Clasie and Gueye look favourites but Imbula also looks quality.

I have mentioned a few of the young Saints…but have forgotten Turnbull .

Centre Back …Left footer who also played on loan with Stephens at Swindon.

Stephens I really do rate in three positions but not knowing enough re Turnbull.

Anyone seen him play enough to commment or will he be out on loan again?

Just curious to see what Saints do.

Reports suggest Man U’s prime target is Schweinsteiger…surely if they sign him Schneiderlin won’t be keen to play second fiddle.

They’ve been after him, although I was reading last week that their interest had gone cold on the matter. Beckenbauer has also made a personal appeal to the player, telling him he’s the wrong age to be thinking of joining a club like United, and should stay at Bayern until he’s ready to move to the MLS.

# SaintsFC return to pre-season today, but Nathaniel Clyne will not be there - he is having a medical at # LFC ahead of his £12.5million move.

Clyne spotted leaving his medical at the Spire Hospital in south Liverpool.

It’s on. :slight_frown:
