Doesnât the word burger imply that it is mimicking something anyway?
I think people like me need help to make the leap to a plant based diet. Burgers like these really help in that journey.

The word burger can refer to meat, veg, nuts etc, check your dictionary. BTW I am not advocating vegetarianism or as you so poshly put it, a plant based diet
Take a pack of 15% fat mince beef. Put in bowl. Season well. Knead the mixture. Form patties. Put in fridge for an hour. Grill. Enjoy. Laugh at the people with their meat substitute as the grease drips down your chops

Iâd assumed the word burger came from hamburger.
A burger absolutely can be any of those things now, but why do people form those lovely ingredients into patties and call them burgers - the point being that even the good old-fashioned veggie burger is pretending to be something it isnât - itâs not a hamburger.
Itâs a shamburger - lol.

Typically, the Yanks dispute the origin⌠The North Germans /Hamburg style beef was originally like a beef tartar, and travelled with migrants⌠not sure when cooking it began⌠but therefore to me, the linguistic use of the shortening to âBurgerâ (Citizen in German) and applying it to anything that is not related to a bovine is an affront to all that is right in the world, no matter what dictionaries say⌠or maybe i am taking this too seriously?

I like all the grimier cartoons better than the more modern ones, although I am a fan of The Male Online. If your suggesting was apropos of something, itâs wide of the mark. I do not attempt the club life much these days.
Anyway, I find rumours of my spikiness somewhat exaggerated.
