📚 The Sotonians Lockdown & Beyond Diaries

I do need to get my pronunciation right.
And there I was thinking today was Biggus Dickus day…

Anyway, some whacks have been given & I got soaked by the kids.

What’s happened to everyone today.
Out at 6.30am to walk the dog…nobody,
Sat in the garden in the sunshine and read this afternoon…nobody else was out in their gardens.
Not a cloud or plane in the sky…checked the “Live Flight Tracker” a total of 5 aircraft over the UK mid-afternoon Bank Holiday Monday.

Still a little excitement expected tomorrow…got an email saying the dog food will be arriving. Thinking of starting a sweepstake to predict the time of arrival.

Its too bloody cold outside.

It’s like Tumbleweed everywhere.

After an interminable afternoon marooned indoors by Thunderstorms & worse, family bingeing some Polish shit on my telly box, I finally poured myself a pint of Bloody Mary spicy (for the Vitamin content obv) and LotR episode 2.
Suitably supported by a LIDL special pack of Ultra spicey Chilli ridged potato chips.
Ah this is the life…

The secret diary of Paul Taylor, aged 45 1/24th

We will be host to a new human being today. The amusingly named boyfriend of my youngest daughter is moving in for the “foreseeable”. As a young man on a pub management apprenticeship, his work dried up quicker than most and he has spent the past three weeks cooped up with his much younger siblings.

This will be the first time they’ve seen each other since the lockdown started, so in a way, I am impressed that this has only come up now. The youngest’s boyf lives just across town.

The eldest’s boyf is a different story. He’s still down in ripe London, but nevertheless, he is well. He’d probably be up here as well. except he’s scared of getting collared by the filth at Euston.

Fuck it. I probably haven’t got that long left on Earth anyway. They may as well get busy; get the next generation of vicarious immortality out.
