Compared to other âSuperhero Franchisesâ most recent output, Guardians of the Galaxy V 3 is not shit.
Itâs totally pointless, but not shit.
If it was an episode of Star Trek - âA Major Charactersâ back story episodeâ it would be fine, but a whole movie devoted to Rocketâs back story? Jeez couldnât the assembled throng of Disney Interns come up with anything more creative? Some Supervillain trying to destroy the Galaxy (again)? Please?
So compared to everything else I have seen from MCU Cinema of late it wasnât shit, not worth paying money to see but a good watch on a stream.
Now, Secret Invasion? Well that continues to kick some ass and has a story.
Ezra Millerâs rendition of the titular character is simply not in anyway likeable or engagable. It matters not if he can act it is just he doesnt fit the role.
They make the film unpleasant.
Everything else about the film is actually great, it is enjoyable, the whole revisit to the whole General Zod thing, Batman, multiverses, all great, just Ezra doesnt fit the suit and doesnât vibe in the role
A good film to watch, should have made zillions, bombed and i can see why, great to watch crap to pay for
Watched The Flash last night. I went in with low expectations, and some of those were met, but I also enjoyed it a lot. Ezra Miller, known wrongâun in real life, carries this movie very well playing two versions of Barry. Unlike most DC films, thereâs a relatable emotional element to the film, strong motivations and likeable characters.
It does fall apart a bit in the final act. There are aspects of that I liked, but the cameos section was fucking awful both in terms of what they showed and how it looked.
Minor spoiler. One of the cameos is Nicolas Cage as Superman, which will just confuse the fuck out of people whoâd never heard that Cage was once up to play the role.
That all said, easily one of the better DC movies.
Been thinking about why these movies are tanking.
Avengers were simple Iron Man had a story, Thor is a God, Guardians had a family, you didnt have to be a nerd.
Flash?
Well unless youread the comics OR loved Netflix Barry, you wont understand the speedforce and other geek stuff
Just too complex
Itâs obvious that this hack hasnât watched, or even bothered to find out about, Star Wars : Rebels which is a big part of the story line of this series.
For mine I donât find it too bad, there are characters in there that have never been mentioned before or after, such as Baylon Skoll and his apprentice Hati.
Also Ezra Bridges is supposed to be one of the most powerful Jedi born yet he is never subsequently mentioned.
Ahsoka does ramble though.
But it is proper Star Wars and doesnât have men in silly hats and stormtroopers who cannot shoot (yet)
But the key issue is that those shows were really for nerds, not the general population, so you have Disney/Lucas creating content for a small percentage of the public that saw those shows and are still around/bothered now they have grown up.
Ahsoka rambles on. It is OK the latest episode away from Cruisers adds more to the universeâŚ
Invasion continues to be superb, it also is only moments from disaster and falling back into a million other series. At the moment itâs up there.
And Wheel of Time. A bunch of you were big fans of the books and S1 when I found it âramblingâ
S2 is better it doesnât ramble, equally it doesnât exactly fly along but so far I am happy to plod along with it. It fill the time in between the weekly Lower Decks fixes which continues to be
