Rotten Tomatoes gave it 44%.
But the teaser for next week was not shit.
And early Den of Geek review was much more positive saying it really settles down by the 3rd episode
So Ep1 tbh was shit but proper old school SciFi.
The Gravity thing moment was actually very clever and maybe a first.
So it was shit most the time but may change.

PS
Seen The Last of Us yet?
My FB review was copied from here & a few of my non gaming Zombie hater old fart friends love the show as well

It’s actually more ambitious than what Marvel has tried so far. Nearly everything will be connected, even videogames. That’s new.

I haven’t seen James Gunn put a foot wrong with his superhero efforts. He’s got a track record of making the obscure front and centre. Few people had knew who the Guardfians of the Galaxy were before he made his movie.

Of course his best superhero film is ‘Super’, one of my fave films with one of the best hero monologues ever.

Haven’t seen it, believe it or not, but I’ll put it on the list.

On the subject of DC, I think Gunn has an easier job than people think.

I spent much of my time with those films thinking how the fuck are you fucking this up?

There are decades of stories to pick from, many written by giants in the industry.

It’s encouraging that Gunn name checks Grant Morrison on the Batman stuff.

Super is currently on Prime if you’re watching it legally :lou_wink_2:

Super - very enjoyable

But showing as currently unavailable on Prime

Ep 2 of The Ark is better.
Not trying to do 1000 stories at once.
Audience numbers up rating up.

But, it unnecessarily introduces conspiracy theories
Ffs why?
The last remnants of humanity are on a ship falling apart and you go off on side trips? Murders, Mad Billionaires?
I’ll give it 1 more week to settle down but right now college graduate writers are ruining a great premise

Ep5 The Last of Us.
Fvck

As predicted Ep3 of The Ark is decent.
By no stretch of the imagination is it Expanse level but for 99% of the show they focused on space shit before dropping a last second conspiracy thing again.
The story is sound it’s just a bit sugary & flippant
Watchable but tbh the new Picard Ep1 is on a different level

Rewatched Ep4 Picard on the actually TV. Even better.
Then, hello, Mando is back.
1st episode was OK, second was good.
Now golf time

It’s The Mandalorian you fucking savage.

Damn I thought it was The Grogulorian starring in the Katie Sackhoff show.

Started watching The Last of Us. Enjoying it. There are a lot of fun guys in it.

If there are too many fun guys there won’t be mush room for anyone else.
