šŸ¦‡ The sci-fi, fantasy and capeshit thread

SG-U has many faults but the base story is good.
It does have some enjoyable weird moments.
Like some characters attending a Janelle Monae concert while a billion light years from home.
The same episode has another moment but that would be a spoiler

Now, this is a thing.

On the Prime Stick thingy I type ā€œDebrisā€ and get

That’s because it’s an American show on NBC

One needs to trawl footie style TV Streams to find it

That’d explain it…

Cock

But actually could be good news, as it means the show could now be picked up by a streaming service.
In the modern world seems daft making something and not selling International rights

Just watched the first episode of Loki, fair bit of exposition and set up (and Owen Wilson being Owen Wilson) in this 45 minute opener but I think I’m sold on it :lou_smiley:

I think it’s a good premise. The TVA versus someone who might reasonably be termed chaotic.

Young Adult Unit #1 remarked that;;-

a) Owen Wilson is doing Owen Wilson again
b) The famed Wilsonschozzle seemed more pronounced than usual.

I may be wrong on b). The schnozzle does seem particularly sausagey, but I have also got in trouble for mentioning life-long birthmarks fifteen years after I should have first noticed them.

I am not the best judge.

Yes point b) is a puzzler, but I reasoned that I haven’t seen him in anything significant since the first zoolander and that was a long time ago. I think it has always been pretty out there, maybe there was just more downlighting that highlighted the features (like they do when photographising people’s abs, apparently).

This is apparently a big thing

Enjoying the soundtrack too, glorious…

For all Mankind spoiler free update.

7 year arc, 2 done, moving into Science Fiction not just retro.

Bring it on!

Very good episode of Loki this week, showing off the character perhaps like never before. A lot of Loki smarts are on show throughout, while the bromance also continues quite nicely.

The end of the episode is particularly good. Just two episodes in, it feels completely earned and I think it’s going to have major implications for the MCU in general.

Love Loki as Dr Who.
Denofgeek is a critical support to it after each episode to help some of the context,/backstory.

Well, that’s Loki’s biggest trick.

Ripping off the original concept of Doctor Who and doing it without the woke.

Just amazed they got Jodie to play his travelling companion before she quit as the Doc.

So I’ve seen all of the first season of Loki. The finale was not the usual whiz-bang action stuff, focusing more on a big ol’ expedition dump as the final curtain is finally drawn back. For those with a good deal of familiarity with the source material, the claims made seem entirely reasonable.

Loki’s antagonist is going to be a big thing in Marvel Phase 4.

Having seen all three shows released on Disney Plus, the one I liked the best was Falcon and the Winter Soldier and that’s a bit weird because unlike Wandavision (magic & Scarlet Witch) or Loki (multiverses), it doesn’t really move anything on.

That story could be swerved entirely and from the perspective of the audience, Sam was given the shield at the conclusion of Endgame. The upcoming Captain America 4 would have worked without the series.

I’d recommend all three shows regardless.

Which was the best Disney Plus Marvel series.

  • Loki
  • Wandavision
  • The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

We enjoyed Loki.
Equally, we needed to google Den of geek to read what it all meant
I hope they dont stay geek source material in phase 4, it may lose a lot of the uncommitted fans

Oh.
