You can work it out I think, the goodies win, the baddies don’t,or is it?

You mean it wasn’t Colonel Mustard in the drawing room with the lead pipe?

No, foolish Cobs, it’s always Mrs Peacock with the Rampant Rabbit on the Billiard Table…

OT. but I think Clue is on Netflix now.

I’m fond of this film. Great performances. About the best you can expect from a film based on what we call Cluedo.

Yeah saw it and was in two minds at the weekend- watched The Dig instead. Maybe this weekend.

It’s got three different endings. When they released it in cinemas, each audience got one of the three endings to prevent spoilage.

It’s the sort of movie the C_S fam should appreciate

I can’t see it on my Netflix

Might be Prime maybe? Can’t remember.

3 soft goals & a dodgy VAR in injury time I reckon.
We gonna have to wait a whole bloody year now ffs

I really need to read the books but the series has been excellent…

so Alex dying was a shock, especially the way it was done, but your previous hints about Cas Anwar sort of hinted towards this.

The numerous articles that flood my FB feed imply that although S6 is the end. It may not be The End.
Implications are that there will be the possibility of individual stand alone stories in Expansiverse.
Who knows.

Fun fact :- Frankie Adams is only 5’ 11"

Daughter has implored me to ā€œkeep goingā€ with Snowpiercer
I found the whole concept implausible in the movie & equally so in S1.
I got a couple of episodes in but like The Umbrella Academy early doors it did nothing.
I tried again out of desperation in Lockdown 2 & got to Ep5. Some bits were meh OK but still stuck in the nonsense of it.
I am trying again.
Daughter says it is worth it. S2 makes everything start to make sense.
Fighting through S1 Ep6 now.
Not engaged yet

I’ve spent a strange couple of hours trying to work out if I’ve wasted my time, seen a new cult classic or even something more.

Space Sweepers. (Wtf Phil?) Yeah seriously- space rag & bone dudes

For £20m Korea have made a multi lingual movie.

It is visually superb. It’s dubbed lead characters are very good the support cast seem to be auditioning as Bond villains.

Being mean, it is every cliche ever. Taking it as is, it is a bonkers mish mash of Anime, Space Western, Evil Bond villains, Greta Thurnberg, Dark Star and…

Robots fighting space fighter drones with a Spear.
Bonkers.
There is a story, it is a bit soppy, gory, hole riddled , deep and shallow.
It drags on and races by.

Batshit mental, different and comfortingly familiar.

I have a grin on my face having watched it.
Perfect lockdown SciFi nonsense.
Loved it. Bonkers nonsense

Only £20m budget? 'Kin hell
Google users rating it at 96%
Rotten Tomatoes 77%

I’ve been watching the after-show podcasts and saw ā€œJames S. A. Coreyā€, the pair of them.

It’s written in partnership, so I’m fully expecting the nine book epic to be complete before either of them pop their clogs.

Basically complete strangers for most of their lives. One moves into the other’s town, they’re told they should meet because they’d probably get on with each other as mates.

Turns out one had developed a pen and paper RPG, and the other could write novels. They spent months cooped up on double dates with their wives, just tugging and pulling at ideas, role-playing scenarios, etc.

This is probably why:-

  • The show has such brilliant female characters. They’re strong women, not fucking super-women and they have some of the best moments in the show. Avasarala is my favourite characters. Bobbie is fucking awesome and Naomi went through the most gruelling arc of the show this year.
  • Why it’s so ā€œrealisticā€. Ain’t nothing to sharpen up your plot-holes like a bunch of role players, as many broken dungeon masters have found out.

Just watched episode 5 of Wandavision, and it would appear Deadpool does not have the monopoly on breaking the 4th wall. Looking forward to see how they explain this one :lou_smiley:
