:pl: ⚽ The Relegation Run-in - 2021/22 (AKA the Bedwetters thread)

The rogering would probably be going into stoppage time at 18 - 1, then Salah tripping over his own feet, awarded a pen and sending Forster the wrong way to make it 19 - 1.

Corrected it for you.

No way we’re scoring a goal.

That point at Leeds. That was big. Take that point off us 39 and give 2 to Leeds 36.

If you want to go down that route… Fraser’s performance against Arsenal kept us up. Probably.

If I may expand (be pedantic) on that theory every point we have gained this season has kept us up.

Yeah of course but I am talking about the points accrued since we reached 35 points and more or less phoned it in!

Majority of bookies no longer offering odds on us going down. Leeds odds-on

I beginning to think they might scrape it now looking at the remaining games. But it’s going to be close.

I have been saying Leeds for a while, but think a point might do it on Saturday.

Burnley are shocking away and have 2 away games.

Burnley are at Spurs on Sunday. If Spurs play like they are doing tonight then Burnley’s goal difference is going to take a battering

Spurs will get beat - it’s what they do

Leeds fail to win so can only get 38 points. We are officially safe.

What a shite end to the season. See you in August to do it all over again.

Ahem. :grin::grin:

Pretty well what I feel. Can only hope it’s end of season fatigue and we’ll come back refreshed in August but all too often end of season form carries over.

We need two or three new players and a boost to confidence.

ooh Everton down to 10 men.

No option. Last man…

Oh.

I agree, on second viewing very harsh, it was more clumsy than anything else. Feel sorry for the kid, making his first start.

Mind you he has to be proud to take Everton to a new Premier League record. They now have the most red cards in PL history. :lou_lol:

We are safe…

… unless anyones knows of any points deductions coming our way!

That’s the way I see it. Burnley can leapfrog us. Their goal difference is better than ours and they’ve got two games to play. Six points from those games will sort them if we lose both the remaining fixtures.

However, Leeds can’t.
