There are other reasons to do it that aren’t Chapel Kate related. People will need to be logged in to see unfiltered content, which should mean more actual people being online.
Bosses that work out you’ve been posting on Sotonians won’t be able to say “a-ha, you called @cobham-saint a cheesecunt on Sotonians” the other day (much as it may have been merited).
On a more serious note… its sort of sensorship - some folks can chose not to read or see what i write… which means it can lose its meaning, context, humour etc. I appreciate that its not everyones cup of tea and I dont ever want to force folks to listen to things they they dont like, but that is why there are other forums that cater for their needs… AsI used to shout in frustration at Mary Whitehouse, if you dont like it, turn the fucker off!! Swearing is like Porn… The Daily Mail may suggest its offensive, but its not. Its just that some people find it offensive and that is quite different…
