I watched the game in my local at West Derby in Liverpool with a few Evertonian mates, Iâve just crawled home. Beer flowing, hand shaking and congratulations after the final whistle. They are all happy to see us back in the Prem. It was a bit of a wobbly walk down the lane, I maybe a tad over refreshed. But it doesnât make me a bad person.
Did I meet you in the stadium - were you getting abused by Leeds fans in corporate?
A grand day out!
More like ÂŁ130m
The Bedeâs?
Lovely to see Shane and Steven take the kids on a day out!
No, was out til 5 last night and woke up at 11 so couldnât be arsed to go to Wembley and watched it in Hackney
As I stated earlier I would be drinking heavily on Sunday as its back to the Betty Ford today. I did and completely missed the match and woke up with the score being displayed on the laptop. I was a happy bunney as the above post shows.
So now we are up I think we have a good chance of staying there
Ipswich will come straight down
Everton wil go bust and be on -fuck knows what before the season starts
And citehs chickens will come home to roost
And Leicester are starting on negative points
Could we love Franny any more?
I was referring to the cost of beers & food in the bars of Wembley
Talking of that I bought an Amstrad satellite system when they first came out and it said Complete System on the box. Got home and went to install it and there was no cable or connecting plugs in the box. Rang Amstrad and complained. There reply the installer supplys those I said it was a self install and they said it was a complete system and if they did not supply the connectors and cable I would report them to the advertising omsbudsman which they didnt like so they sent an installer out with a cable and connectors. After that all the systems came with a meter of cable and 2 connectors.
Amstrad really were shite. Alan Sugar had a lot to answer for
TBF I had an early Amstrad VHS Video Recorder which worked well. I bought it because I liked the âextended playâ feature where you could record 4 hours of TV on a 120 tape.
In 1985 I recorded the whole of the Live Aid on it. I still have the tapes but canât play the ones recorded on the âextended playâ setting.
My boss wonât be happy. Heâs Pompey so weâve piddled on the two cup finals he was looking forward to next season.
Early days in the video wars, I decided that Sony would be the company to prevail and duly forked out a small fortune on a top line Betamax recorder.
Money well spent, that.
