I’ve found out what I wanted to about ebay, so crack on about your old school. It’s marginally more interesting anyway
Out of interest, did they explain how they would be able to take money directly out of a bank account?
I assume they will want a direct debit agreement. I haven’t filled out the paperwork yet, but that’s what the eBay forums are saying.
Ive had no issues with it.
Paypal does the same thing if there aren’t enough funds in your account, they have direct debited from my current account a few times. I don’t really have an issue with it though, most of what I buy/sell on ebay is fairly low value. As long as ebay offers the same seller protection it might work out ok, plus paypal won’t be able to skim their 4% +20p per transaction.
I might be able to help you here. It is a specialist service but if you send me your account details together with any internet banking log in requirements, I can provide a demonstration
Just did a bit of digging and apparently paypal will still be an option for ebay users until 2023, it just won’t be pushed as much.
I have trusted them with my bank info, as I did with PayPal. No direct debit or other authorisations requested.
You sure you’re not on the eBay wrong’uns list, @scotty?
You’re on the Sotonians one
I thought, before today, that eBay owned PayPal and versa-vice, obviosuly I was wrong.
What is an Ebay?
So did I.
I keep telling you, I only sent you that copy of Deep Throat because you asked for it, I didn’t mean you should post it on the film thread
My sister managed to get banned from Ebay.
Yeah I was a bit annoyed with it all changing. Who likes change? But so far no issues.
Is there a sequel to this sentence?
Need to flesh it out a bit longer (really not at all interesting).
Ah ok, it seemed to have the makings of a good cautionary tale, or the hint she had been doing something nefarious.
Just not sending items on time. She is not allowed to sell anymore but can still buy. So not completely banned but was for a short period.
I however, have an impeccable rate for sending things on time.
I bet your homework was always in on time too, wasn’t it
