Out of interest, did they explain how they would be able to take money directly out of a bank account?

I assume they will want a direct debit agreement. I haven’t filled out the paperwork yet, but that’s what the eBay forums are saying.

Ive had no issues with it.

Paypal does the same thing if there aren’t enough funds in your account, they have direct debited from my current account a few times. I don’t really have an issue with it though, most of what I buy/sell on ebay is fairly low value. As long as ebay offers the same seller protection it might work out ok, plus paypal won’t be able to skim their 4% +20p per transaction.

Just did a bit of digging and apparently paypal will still be an option for ebay users until 2023, it just won’t be pushed as much.

I have trusted them with my bank info, as I did with PayPal. No direct debit or other authorisations requested.

Just not sending items on time. She is not allowed to sell anymore but can still buy. So not completely banned but was for a short period.
I however, have an impeccable rate for sending things on time.
