Maybe I’m flying solo here, but I honestly have no clue about who likes who or who hates the other. I don’t really look at the mnames that much and tend to reply to the most recent posts. I had a spat with CB Fry recently, but only remember that because it is still in my short term memory, like the last time I sharted.

According to Verbal, he’s got a secret account on this site. He claims he has been spending his time down-voting a select few, but hasn’t posted. Jesus fuck, are all of my former foes moustache twirling James Bond villains that insist on telegraphing their villainy? I thought these people were supposed to be intelligent!
I’m away from serious computing resources at the mo’, but as soon as I get back, I’ll track the sad old fucker down, reverse his downvotes, delete the account and (Palpatine drum roll) make his failure complete. I’ve got no problem with participation. I don’t even have a problem with confrontation (but you all knew that) but I won’t have people join just to bring other posters down. By his own admission, that’s exactly what he did.
lol i wouldn’t bother pap, i srsly doubt verbal has gone to that trouble, and even if he did, we really don’t care.

See, you’ve intrigued me even more now. If he hasn’t gone to the trouble, we can prove he is big mendacious bastard, giving it large on SaintsWeb about how he’s been throwing his weight about around here.
If he did go to the trouble, that means he has spent his own personal time, signing up to a website of a person he hates, to secretly down-vote people he doesn’t like. That is big sad bastard territory.
Tell you what (and I think this is fair), if his participation level raises above down-voting and cross-site sneering in the next day, I’ll retain the account, whatever has gone before. Otherwise, he’s just taking a Centurions badge that could be going to someone that is truly participating.
Or you could just let it go and not let it bother you, which is the easiest thing to do and probably the most sensible. SWF became a place of conflict and argument which is fine for a bit but I stopped posting because of it. The only posts a I made were to slag someone off or call them a cunt. That’s not nice or healthy. This place is nice in that there is chance to breakaway from all of that, but going on some Verbal hunt is pointless and drags that negativity to this new place. I’d advise against doing that.
I also don’t see any point in goading people over at SWF and almost encouraging them to come over, set up false accounts and be bellends.

pap, i rly don’t want to grub around in this cos it’s stupid, but i read that thread, and CB Fry (who is good ppl) made a joke bout he was signing up to cause mischief. He did this cos he knew we was reading bout it, and he (rightly) thought it would be funny if someone (i.e. you and ohio) got a bit wooshed. Then verbal (who is also good ppl) joined in with Fry’s joke.
like chill bro, don’t worry bout it, don’t waste ur time witch-hunting, and don’t stress bout having problem posters till we actually have problem posters. It will be pretty apparent when we do, and even then i’ll still prob not be much fussed either way.

I like Papsweb because there’s a nice atmsophere on here and everybody seems to get along, which is more than can be said for SWF at times. Use your god-like powers to keep it this way please O Pap!

I think that’s a decent compromise. I won’t be going on any specific hunts, but I do think a few reports might be in order to see if we have any obvious spoilers (no posts, downvotes only, etc).
I’m very proud of what you’ve all built in the last four weeks. I think we have a solid core, and I don’t think that core will be easily subverted or taken off on the sort of track that none of us would want. For 99.999% of all problems, this site should self-moderate, either through the voting system or deftly worded replies.
Make no mistake though; we will get a bit of shit, and if we do detect patterns of obvious abuse, they’ll be dealt with. With God like powers.
I told Pap that I didn’t like his use of the term “best friend” and things got pretty heated.
