The feisty few on steveweb may think it’s quaint and naive and ridiculous, but having a conversation without the possibility of someone starting an argument for no reason actually appeals to some of us. Er, most of us.
I often think some of the more, how shall we say it… Cuntish posters over there approach their days in the forum like a game of whack-a-mole. Find a thread, find a post and be a cunt. For fun. When their every post is designed to incite whoever they’re talking too, it’s just pointless to engage them. So people don’t. And then they come over here.
I can see why this forum was formed. Most want to have a bit of a giggle during the day and discuss things in a lighthearted manner without being jumped on or destroyed by blandness. Whilst saints web had only a few constraints, it is still freer over here to express yourself without getting into an argument which isn’t for everyone. It should complement the other forum well and I wish it luck.

I’ve noticed that the swear filter is best when turned off too. Calling someone a cunt is about the worst thing you can call them. When that word is de-weaponised, it becomes neccesary to explain just why someone is being a cunt rather than just using that word… You cunt.
What is JWP vs JWP? Is this Stalinist shibboleth crumbling already? We need a strong man to keep the peasants in check. Anybody got Barry’s number?
Read Bearsy’s U21 thread. I’ve only just got home, and I have no idea from the thread what was going on and what the final score was. This forum has turned surreal!
