I think Steve Grant’s “mildly amusing recluse” comment is a bit harsh.

I’m flattered I still seem to occupy the vast majority of his posting thoughts. It’s well written, but its not borne of good intentions. Still, I find it amusing for a couple of reasons. First, he still doesn’t seem to understand what most people get by the time they hit 30. Tell someone not to do something, and they’ll do it.

Can’t we all just get along? This board is a place of peace and love. I’m doing my best in helping create that cosy and welcoming feeling. Maybe we could play a football game like they did in that advert at Christmas when Sainsbury played Tescos, or something.

I note that The Man is monitoring and posting semi-regularly on the sotonians.com thread over on TSW.
That’s surely the most involved he’s been in the forum for years? Or, perhaps I just didn’t see him where I lurked?
Eitherway, I guess his heightened interest and general giving-a-shitness can only be a positive for TSW.
I hope the motivation comes from his passion for the fantastic Saints-related community he’s created, and not his green-eyed rage at the potential depletion of Fiver Mountain.
I’ve got to hedge my bets, because when this goes tits-up, I’m going to be scuttling back to TSW, pointing over my shoulder at papster, and telling The Man that I’d been abducted by aliens and brainwashed.
EDIT: I knew pap was feverishly attempting to hack TSW, and now it appears he’s done so! He’s managed to login as an admin, and has moved the sotonians.com thread back to The Lounge!
I know that it can’t have been The Man that moved it, because he’d have posted something in the TSW Edited Threads thread.

I really like Steve Grant, I think he puts a lot of work into TSW behind the scenes, loves his football, and is generally an all round good guy. I think running a show like that and pleasing everyone all of the time is a near on impossible job, but I also think Pap’s banning was unfair. It’s interesting to see how you guys treat this sort of thing differently.
Im enjoying the two Sotonians threads running concurrently - it almost feels like we’re friends again, holding hands across the abys (or at least, throwing things at each other).
