- how many times have you watched Red Dawn?
- if more than once, are you aware that it isnât a documentary?

They have now, yes, and thatâs all I wanted to know. I hadnât heard any direct quote from them saying that until this lunch time, but then again Iâve not been following it very closely. My questions were genuine ones about why people were so convinced that it wasnât Russia, thatâs all.
Why do you always have to be a massive condescending bell-end? Do you mean to do it or are you just socially retarded?
How very very unreasonable of them! Although the UK authorities have spent over a week investigating this incident and are no nearer producing any evidence of who carried out the attack, Russia are given 24 hours to carry out their own investigation and prove guilt or innocence. It is blindingly obvious that the UK government have no intention of allowing Russia to produce any evidence to refute the allegations. That is not part of the agenda. Lavrovâs statement is entirely reasonable if read without prejudice. âMoscow would not comply with the Tuesday night deadline set by May to deliver an explanation or face retaliationâ. âRussia is ready to cooperate in accordance with the convention to ban chemical weapons if the United Kingdom will deign to fulfil itâs obligations according to the same conventionâ. Whatâs wrong with that? May making it up on the hoof, somehow the UK is exceptional and the rules donât apply to them? Under the convention, Russia would have 10 days to reply to an official accusation by the UK over the use of a banned substance within itâs borders. Entirely reasonable, so why is the May government ignoring this convention? Surely it is in everyoneâs interests that the truth comes out regarding this incident, so why does it appear that our government are putting obstacles in the path to stop this happening? Surely it couldnât be the case that any serious scrutiny could see the UKâ governmentâs position unravelling, awkward questions being asked regarding Skripalâs activities etc etc. Heaven forbid!
How about sticking a sample on the end of an umbrella and sticking it up Putinâs arse
While itâs true that Lavrovâs comments are entirely reasonable, I think itâs no less reasonable to suggest that Russia would deny any involvement under any circumstances. If they did get a sample, theyâd analyse it and say it wasnât theirs, while we would say that our analysis shows that it definitely is theirs.
Thereâs no independent body to take these things to, so it canât be proved either way and will remain one lotâs word against the otherâs. Truth comes in a very poor third place, if even that.
Is the plot thickening?
I have no idea about any of this, so Iâm staying out. Seems unlikely to be a coincidence to me though.
No, please stay and join in. Weâve all had a crash course on chemical weapons manufacture and global politics via the media over the last few days so youâre among fellow experts here
Not always. Just when its warranted.
So quite clearly the latter
Youâve clearly never met me.
That turd wouldnât be slowly crowning its way out of your cakehole if you had.
Maybe we should have a poll? There are other options that could be added if itâs what the public want.
Can we confine it to the people that have never made the drinks meetups?
I just think it would be a little too ridiculous for the folk that have. While we all of course welcome @themightyostrich 's fantasy that I am socially retarded, it really conflicts with the ease I have with talking to just about anyone, and that whole human glue thing.
Have at it though. I look forward to whatever results you imagine.
And thank fuck I havenât, Christ! If thereâs ever an opening in my friendship group for an internet douche with delusions of their own self-importance then Iâll give you a shout.
I see the governments jumping to convenient conclusions, is getting the ridicule it deserves by both Craig Murray and Nafeez Ahmed. Some interesting points in both. I like the points raised about the OPCW.
âThe actual history of Novichok shows that out of the countries discussed here, Russia is the only state to have been certified by the OPCW as having destroyed its chemical weapons programme, including its nerve agent capabilities. The OPCW found no evidence to indicate that Russia retains an active Novichoc capability. The same is not the case for the US, Britain and Israel.â
@dubai_phil Lived in Salisbury in the 60s,70s,80âs? Suffer any unusual health problems, particularly to do with breathing? Look to your military for answers.
âBritish military aircraft dropped thousands of kilos of a chemical of âlargely unknown toxic potentialâ on British civilian populations in and around Salisbury in Wiltshire, Cardington in Bedfordshire and Norwich in NorfolkâŚ"
Feck, my dad was stationed in Wilton from '74 to '77 and we lived in Salisbury during that time!!
I always wondered where my super powers came from!!
Aw, thatâs sweet. You have an ego you actually care about. Tokes is similarly afflicted.
I wish you well, but fear the worst.
My mum thought pap was lovely.
However she failed to abort me so her judgement may be dodgy.
Also my nephew asked who the hobbit from the games workshop was.
Mayâs Govt is to expel 23 Russian diplomats.
This is the firm response and serious consequences of the Govt deciding it was all Russiaâs fault
Strong arm tactics indeed.
As Goat said, something smells about the whole episode.
Why canât the Govt be honestâŚoh, wait
