There’s no more wine. There’s no more whiskey. I’m on the vodka and ginger beer. It’s actually fine with lots of crushed ice… like a cocktail.

When we moved into our new house the previous owners left their American fridge. It dispenses ice cubes or crushed ice. It’s been the fucking downfall of me given that I can’t drink spirits without ice.

Great evening - especially watching a circuit-judge scout leader and neck tattoo guy getting on like a house on fire having known each other as youngsters - weird how life turns out.

Went to East London Liquor Company near Victoria park for a friend’s birthday. This could also go in the rum or gin thread as they distill both there. I didn’t realise we were going for a meal so lined my stomach at lunchtime so had a small plate of tasty pasta and two glasses of wine. I couldn’t read the menu as it was so bloody dark (I may need another eye test) and the place was freezing (it has been snowing so not completely their fault).

I tried my friend’s drinks of Bourbon, Rum and Gin and mixer and they were all tasty (though still not a bourbon fan). If you are up that way and you like gin or rum it’s probably worth a visit. You can also go around the distillery and buy bottles of spirits there.

A dry weekend turned into a mess

It started well, was gonna have Alaskan Pollack & Chips having got a tin of mushy peas. Then discovered we’d bought bloody Tilpia by mistake and that really doesn’t taste right with Tartare Sauce.

So I had to defrost a Steak which was actually a decent New Zealand Strip Loin, so THEN i needed a glass of wine with it.

So I dug out what an 8 Euro bottle of what turned out to be a very very nice bottle of Cotes du Rhone I bought in an U-Marche on my recent trip to Paris.

And put McMafia on the telly.

And then there was another episode and the wine was gone so decided to use u the last of my cans of Pepsi with some Bacardi.

and then I’d run out of Pepsi so had some with orange juice.

Then ran out of Juice so had to watch the next episode with some Honey & Herb Polish Vodka

And then it was midnight

And now it is morning.
