Considering whether to continue with grape or head towards the cane.

I think I was slightly pickled last night although didnāt feel it then. The rum punch was quite deceptive although the last few between 1-2am were topped up. So glad I cancelled my 10.30 gym class at 2.30am.
But could I have a lay in. Nope. Body wakes up at this awful hour I am heading back to bed.

His younger friends invite him out to drink, probably the best beer in the world, at, probably the hippest nightspot in the capital, and he just doesnāt get it.
He sits in the corner with clothes embarrassingly 5 weeks behind the zeitgeist, sipping a pint of liquid ambrosia, mumbling to himself āthis is a shitholeā whilst somehow his younger friends prove they are ahead of every trend by supping their Punks, their Hardcores, their Vagabonds, their 5AM Saints, their Jack Hammers, their Dead Ponies and their Elvis Juices.
Itās like heās lost the rule book whilst his friends have it tattooed on the washboard abs of their taut and lithe bodies.
Age-wise, heās on the cusp between the effortlessly hip and early-onset-middle-age.

@cobham-saint Get there early! You arenāt guaranteed entry unless you have priority tickets. Just checked some texts I had with a friend who has been too. We recommend to her to get there at 8pm for the queue as on our first attempt we got there the time they suggested and about 100 (including us) were turned away. If you get turned away you can ask to be on the priority list for another show. They give out different coloured wrist bands and then call you in according to colour. We have sat looking towards the set but also sat behind it. I think we were out at 11 as they have to do a few takes for other things. Thereās a warm up guy who does the same routine each time. Hope you get in and enjoy.
