I was fortunate enough to drink some Chateau Latour 2000… last year… and 2000 was a great vintage apparently… and its was stunning… but would I pay £950? No apparently it was eclipsed by the 2003…
Anyway, tonight i am sampling …
Spent the evening drinking cheap(ish) wine from France with parents and in laws and looking through old photos.
I’d like to say it was fucking shit.

Depends on the photos. I spent some time looking at photos form 30 years ago when i was a wee 19 year old with the belief of so much promise… looking at friends, some of whom are still close, two of which are no longer with us… savour the memories and savour the moments… I miss those who bored me senseless…

Glengoyne 21 fully matured in a combination of Oloroso and PX Sherry casks. Natural colour and non-chill filtered (to fuck off the numpties who put ice in a Malt…).
This is a complete Sherry bomb. Highly fruity nose, spice and chocolate and quite simply outstanding. Need to rest in glass for about 10-15 minutes and then just a drop or two of water (does not need more than a drop)… I have the 25 as well but that is Oloroso only and as yet unopened…
