Getting an E-mail from a rival company about a job opportunity.
Responding to it to find out what they are up to and getting put on a short list for the position even after giving them an over the top wage and package bill.
We will see if they take it any further. 
The next bit could go in the annoyances thread.
But what I do expect is some of our other employees to jump ship if they are having a large budget for wages so am now on the look out for all trades working offshore.

Boilers have bricks inside (refractory) but that is only about a 1 month job doing repairs so job security will be suspect.

I currently live in the UK so the job security is above average and the holiday allowance is very generous compared to here.
When can i start?
If you can get to Labuan before Monday night I will buy the beers but as for getting you offshore it will take about 3 months for medicals and visa’s so some time next year at the earliest if you can do the Huet and pass the medical prior to travel.

You’d on well with my dad. He has a proper lathe in the shed (the shed that he extended). He also built another shed and put in moorish type windows.

Ahh she is that. We’ve worked on her from day one to be a highly social animal and she is that too.
Normal greeting for meeting any dog…roll over on back in submissive pose…once drawn in she jumps up and is all over them. If they’re up for a rough and tumble, away they go…running around like whirling Dervish…large or small, she doesn’t care. Get’s knocked over by a bigger dog, no problem, she loves it, just gets up and is at them again. Nothing puts her off.
