Separate from the tour stuff, had to be up at 05:40 this morning for a transfer to the airport.

Which meant I was up and about early enough for a mushrooming session.

Some may think it is a piece of cake, but there is one in this picture. Which is how most of them are found.

Today’s crop already drying, BUT having fresh ones for Pork Neck & Wild Mushroom Sauce tonight

And some other free food has fallen from the sky this week

Lidl’s fresh meat fridges after 16:00 and the orange stickers…

Such a choice of stuff as cheap as the chips that can go with many of them. Fresh Cod for Fish & Chip night for 2 tomorrow Pounds 1.20

Even found VINTAGE Cheddar cheese for the 1st time in Poland on offer.

Vintage is not a reference to its ageing process by the manufacturer- it is an accurate description of how far past the use by date it has gone

Opened today in the next door village 2.5kms away.

Lidl Plus, bloody enormous. Stocks Heinz Baked Beans, Vintage Cheddar & 1st time in 9 months Onion Rings & Jumbo sized Fries.

Local Butcher’s

grabbed some Venison loin from the butchers near hatchets pond - off the Beaulieu estate. Unbelievably good

They also have new Forest dexter topside - that is Sunday’s roast sorted

Good butchers are worth their considerable weight is gold

A rarity nowadays unfortunately and like all deceased local businesses they helped keep money and (some)power in the local area.
Two very nice meals there, so I hope you cooked/accompanied the venison as required and will do the same tomorrow?
Lots and lots of banging red should do it and maybe a couple of veg, if you want to be posh😉
