😃 The Little Pleasures of Everyday Life

Hmmm a couple in the two litters our breeder had didn’t make it. Get yourself a pair of sturdy gloves…those razor teeth will rip through your hands. :lou_lol:

Doggies like me, the mum will look at me all sad when i pick one up and then get protective with the other two until i give the pup back.

My first girl friend lives in that house you are parked outside off

Finally extracting payment out of a recalcitrant customer and be told that they never want to work with us again.

I always love the fact that they think we would want to do so. Laters assholes - you have just become a source of candidates.

I always understood that they were the coastguard cottages for the station opposite.

That was my supposition but they are a row of about a dozen homes which seems a lot for a single small lifeboat station. No other means of employment in the area early in the last century apart from Calshot.

Or maybe on the Exbury estate which is behind inland…I found this which is probably largely incorrect…it’s Wikipedia after all.

To quote that Wiki entry… ā€œthe Coastguard Cottages and the Watch House remain largely unchanged todayā€

If you zoom in really far and look on that grass verge, you can just make out the shape of a beetle.

Coastguard cottages were and possibly still are part of Exbury estate originally used as houses for the coastguard whose boat was kept in the watch house on the beach as well as for workers on the Exbury estate.

I showed this picture of your lovely motor to my work daughter today. She pointed out that it was indeed a lovely motor and that you were parked on double yellows.

Thank your daughter for the compliment about the motor. To mitigate the lawlessness of the picture please let her know the car was paused rather than ā€œparkedā€ā€¦the engine still running. I’m sure she will be relieved to hear it. :lou_lol:

At least you didn’t ā€œmitigateā€ it further by switching your hazard lights on :lou_facepalm_2:

I reckon he took the photo between ā€˜blinks’

WTF are hazard lights? This car is 61 years old…there were so few cars on the road at that time if you saw one coming the other way, you stopped, had a chat and a cup of tea with them.

Those little orange flashy things (that are optional extras on most cars these days) that you use to tell people which way your going.

If you have all four flashing at once it means that you are allowed to park illegally!!

Or that you’re about to perform a manoeuvre that is (a) illegal, (b) idiotic, or (c) both.

After hitting brick walls for months, having a second interview to be a Geek software Guru.
And not fvcking up.

No idea if I will get the job, but a 2 hour interview which was actually enjoyable and finished with smiles all round, so a bit buoyed after so many knock backs

You don’t perform silly manoeuvres in a car that you are an integral part of the crumple zone.

A fair point. I’d hazard a guess that the lack of such lights might also inhibit you.
