😃 The Little Pleasures of Everyday Life

When the budget & time of year in shops means your other half has a choice of 1 frock for the upcoming wedding.
And it’s perfect style, fit & colour wise.
Phew.
Time to order Pizza that’ll make sure something goes wrong

Yep your misses will get a two week bout of food poisoning …loose 6 kgs and that perfect frock will hang on her frame like a sack. She will then insist she needs to go shopping for a new one. :lou_facepalm_2:

I just wear something I’ve worn before as I get invited to weddings every few years. Although I’m struggling to find a place to wear the one I wore in Bali as it is proper dressy-upy and a bit bling.

Yeah the problem is all the weddings we’ve been to have been posh frocks (which would have worked for recycling)
Problem this time is that it is a Black Tie do and so Ladies have to wear long “ball gown” type outfits.
Ho hum

Consider yourself lucky Intiniki, I get invited to funerals these days.

Jesus. Thank goodness I don’t get invited to anything like that. I’d probably turn up on a tux.

Looks fucking lovely. Although I’ve never been into skiing, the thought is getting more appealing as I get older. However, i am concerned that my lack of fitness, general fear of speed and decreasing balance will preclude me from taking it up. I did try it once in Aviemore but it was just ice and i ended up on my bruising my arse for a month.

Mrs G did a couple of days skiing but spent most of her time eating, drinking and sun bathing in stunning surroundings. Not really bothered about looking for anywhere else to ski/stay. It was just about perfect.

Fascinator
May cause me to go full Barry before end of day and delete every nice thing I ever said about anything.
Apparently the frock is nothing without one.

Who the fuck thought up that name. In all my days never have I been less fascinated by a piece of useless junk balanced on a woman’s head.

I only learnt to ski a couple of years ago, and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I have really poor balance (can’t even ride a bike) but picked it up surprisingly quickly. Chairlifts are bastards though, I can’t get off them without injuring myself badly, so it limits options to those places with cable cars.

Actually quite easy to make.
One I made earlier.

Lots of those types in the shops. We are trying to be a bit less “loud”. It’s my Nephews wedding so we can’t really be too “brash”

Luckily the idea has been dropped, long earrings instead.

You saying my fascinator is loud?

:lou_wink:

Of absolutely no interest to anyone apart from me.

I’ve a real interest in the history of the City of London (square mile to you squire). Have today found out I’m now an Elector in The City of London ward of Bassishaw.

Yay, go me…

Probably the first Free Market Socialist to be able to vote in local elections in The City…slowly, slowly etc.
