Theyāre not allowed to enter Venice through the front door anymore. All cruise ships arrive via Shit Creek now.

We must have gone early 2000ās - early enough that we were navigating by map and getting hopelessly lost, but then always ending up in St Marks - great times

Absolutely love the place. For some reason we end up there / Jeselo every couple of years.
Try it in the winter / very early spring. A completely different place. A lot of stuff isnāt open tbf.
