Suicide on line - all trains out of Waterloo delayed/cancelled.
Went to pub.
Finally got to Surbiton & helped a foreign student In meltdown panic attack. Everyone else walked past - cunts 
Still no trains…may have to pay Young Adult #2 to come pick me up

So finally home….
This is the prime reason why commuting to London is dead.
Once in a while is fine ( not for the suicide obvs), but this used to be a regular occurrence which we took for granted.

Waiting on tenter hooks for my consultation with the lung disease consultant at University Hospital Liverpool for the results of my CT scan a month ago for her to tell me that the anomaly found in my right upper lung in April has disappeared. Phew! She has now discharged me from the respiratory and lung disease clinic to be managed by my GP. I celebrated the news by booking a flight to Thailand, then going into Liverpool 1 with a few mates this afternoon for several beers in an Irish bar watching a superb Pogues tribute band who knocked it out of the park. I depart these shores on 28th November and arrive back on 29th February next year. That’ll do!

It is 30 years and 9 days since i left England for an 18 month contract in Dubai.
So it must be 35 years or more since i went to Remembrance Sunday in Salisbury.
We went today the crowds were huge. The (Muslim) Mayor gave a touching speech, the service was impecable then they paraded round the Town to the Church Service.
The parade was the entire length of New Canal, and it was packed. A huge change, and the crowd applauded the Veterans.
Lovely moments.

09:40 National Express Coach from Salisbury to London. Leaves ontime.
Goes via Southampton & the Uni.
We each have double seat to ourselves it is comfy smooth and £9.40 each!
10:40 away from Southampton Coach Station 13:20 eta at Victoria.
Smooth as silk, surprise when the driver says straight through from Uni to Hammersmith no stops at Winchester or Basingstoke.
I chill out, wake up on the (smoothly running) M25, brain kicks in. Hammersmith?
Hmm. Broadway.
Hmm Tube Station. I prep Mrs P_F to be ready to do a runner, we stop, 120m from the Tube Station. Victoria means a 1 km hike to the Tube with a 25kg suitcase.
Boom! Easy Peasy.
We reach Daughter’s place in Essex at exactly 13:20 saving at least 2 hours of Weatherspoons 
Unpacked ready to pickup Grandkids from school!

These are brilliant books - bought my set years ago, still have them now, and despite knowing all the stories from the TV, thought they were brilliant. It helped having a picture of Morse in my mind as I read them.
