Randomly bumping into John Shears who was the lead in finding the wreck of Shakletonâs Endurance in Antarctica and Alexandra, Shakeltonâs granddaughter in the Dr Butlerâs Head early doors in The City - both having a snifter after a BBC interview for a programme on Friday.
Fascinating conversation about the history, family and actual finding of the wreck.
Donât get many afternoons like that.

Being told to lose 2kg from Ryanair checked bag & having to ditch 2 bottles of London Pride.
But distracting the lady so she didnt check the weight of my cabin bag which is about 10kg overweight and saved the bacon, sausages, pasties & sausage rolls!
I hope you drank the beer in front of her?
Ever thought of opening an English corner shop like the Polish do over here?

On a similar vein I did enjoy watching the meltdown of a woman trying to board a Ryan Air flight to Marrakesh from Turin when it was pointed out that a wheelie case, a fuck off massive rucksack (army spec) and a handbag did not meet Ryanairâs cabin bag policy
