Today’s job was supposed to be a budget run to the river rafting - 5 hours.
Turned out to be a Full Day 12 hour jaunt.
We done Castles, & rafting & lunch & Rule 1
And Plum moonshine Vodka tasting & I’m worn out
And they asked if they could have me again tomorrow and could I join them for dinner and wait.
No.

So the ladies are two of the biggest Youtube/instant tourism types in Hungary.
Over basically been driving them round making a movie.
Today Ojcow National Park which I love & is close to Krakow we had VIP access into a “hidden” valley to visit 2 ladies who opened a Trout Farm & their Smoked Trout has become a BIG THING Nationally.
The fish was caught, smoked & served inside 2 hours and OMG.
And the location?

So life is pretty different now. My youngest daughter turns 22 tomorrow, which means the ginger-bred (collective name for my offspring) aren’t much trouble and often fuck off out of the house. Sometimes to London, for several years.
We had a Friday night empty nest moment to deal with. I’ve got the loft set-up better than anything I’ve had before in terms of entertainment capacity. Gingora is moaning that it’s too hot up there, to which I reply “if it’s too fucking hot why did you sell this room as the central thing in the house”, miffed that it’s apparently okay for me to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous temperature fluctuations, but not her.
As indicated in the Goaty Gadgets thread, I’ve got a spanking new screen and I refuse to put it in the front room because quite honestly, if there was a TV set available that could only play Love Island, RuPaul’s Drag Race and Grey’s Anatomy, she’d be fucking sorted. I’m watching quality shit up h’yar.
Anyway, she suggested a nice compromise where we’d play games on the Xboxen. In the end, I just ended up introducing her to my old XBox One X, now hers, and caught her up on about fifteen years of game history. She’s actually very good at Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. It was a pleasant evening.

Not for everyone I know but Lady Slowlane and I are off on a weeks cruise around The British Isles.
Where are we going? I don’t really know.
We originally booked this as a March 2020 Caribbean Cruise but that got knocked on the head so we changed it to a October 2020 cruise around the Greek Islands. That too of course was cancelled. Eventually they announced they were reactivating the cruise fleet in late Aug/early Sept so we booked a 4 day break around our Septic Isles. Next they extend the 4 day cruise to a 7 day cruise for the same money…yes please.
This afternoon we start the Slowlane cruise of inebriation and over-eating. Anniversary on Tuesday so the onboard spend will be spent on fine dining.
