In another earth-shattering display of self-affirmation, I have triumphed over beast this week.
As part of the third most intelligent species on earth (behind mice and dolphins obvs) that uses the Internet and suchlike, I am proud to tell you that I bettered a bluebottle.
Little bastard was flying around the garage. I do not want to spray the garage full of fly spray but remembered moths at this stage and remembered they generally flew toward light.
Garage lights go off, living room light goes on and the little chap fucks off.
End of story. Sorry if you’re disappointed with the conclusion, but this is not Lord of the Flies.

Nothing sounds right because I lost my hearing. I now hear through a cochlear implant that is configured for speech and struggles with tonal range of music.
Ah that’s sad. 
As it happens I went for a hearing test yesterday and I had confirmed what I already knew, age related top-end hearing loss. Coughed up the money for a pair of digital hearing aids so I’m hopeful it will restore something of what I’ve lost over the last five or so years. A couple of weeks before they arrive.
Was this your first model, a few years ago?
