A group of us from our office used to go riding from Bramble Hill Hotel stables. It was kinda fun up to about a gentle Canter. Any faster I dropped the reins and threw my arms are the horse’s neck.
Not a good look when trying to impress your girlfriend who was a natural.

Went for a drive down to the waterfront this afternoon to see how many of the cruise liners were laid-up there…just two. I think the Cunard and P&O liners are moored in Weymouth Bay.
Took a stroll around Mayflower Park and bumped into a couple who were sharing their picnic with their cat. I asked if she walked well on the lead. He said, “we’re still working on it”

Somebody has been reporting adds under my name and they have been removed by Facebook.
How do I thank the hacker for doing this. ?
NB Facebook I have not reported any adverts so get your act together. you are obviously reading my stuff so remove the hacker from my account.

Just bought a new laptop for software development (and bug fixes!). It’s a real beast but more of that later perhaps on another geek thread.
To get it working properly with Linux/Ubuntu I had to buy an expensive USB Thunderbird docking station.
Get to the point, Bletch!
OK, well that docking station has a line-out and not just a headphone jack.
It is currently driving my Quad 11L speakers through my Rotel amp sweeter than I’ve heard in a long time.
The amp is having to do far less work and the depth to the sound is wonderful.
It’s still quite a way from the levels of some of the professional D to A kit that I used to use, but it’s putting a great smile on my face.
