😠 🤯 The Little Annoyances Of Everyday Life (Part 2)

After teaching the grandkids to play chase the ace I have to do it after every evening meal.
And they beat me all the time.

I have decided I do not like restaurants as I can cook better food than them.

I do agree with you but they’re used to extreme heat, the entitle luvvies here aren’t…

Daughter & family down in France in Cognac Country 45m at least from coast, an hour NW of Bordeaux

Last night they had 4 fires within 4.9kms of their village. Couple of places i had been yo were evacuated

200 hectares destroyed yesterday alone.

The area looks like the South Downs.
Arable farmland some small deciduous woods and villages.

They had go bags packed, village volunteers visited every house last night to make sure everyone knew rules/had a lift.

Heat is brutal…
Temp & wind down today

Indeed.

You met the ex wife?

I have an excellent air conditioning unit, works superbly.

Unfortunately, it’s in the workshop. So I can keep beautifully cool while I toil, but get baked again as soon as I venture back into the house.

We are going for one in the bedroom and one in the seating area of the kitchen that we have turned into a green house thanks to a lantern roof all running off an external condenser unit

The youngest youngling is staying at his nan’s place on Tuesday so we thought we’d go to the cinema to watch Superman.

However, looking at the cinema listing, Superman is not playing on Tuesday night, JUST Tuesday night. It’s on every other night of the fricking week JUST not Tuesday

On a ship this morning.

On closer inspection…

My reaction.

Surely the dust affects the resonance so therefore the sound ?
So does that not make it your job?

Certainly not, Sir. The dust contributes to the patina, but has no effect on the tonal qualities.

You nearly lost me to a Darwin Award.
My knee is lets be polite unstable.
It has limits I am working and rehabing to improve.
But sometimes it doesn’t work.
Like yesterday would not press down the fierce clutch pedal -
I’d cut the lawn with the tractor mower.
Was going back into the barn, miniscule misjudgement meant the clutch caught on the door with my leg between them.
Mower kept going, barn door broke and toppled onto me.
By grace of something a stepladder caught it so I am still here.
Family wish I wasnt. And there goes my newly found pension this month paying for a custom repair.
Mower is fine, leg just a mess of pulled/strained muscles - again.
Tramadol time

Clearly it was an old injury to the door but that just negated any insurance option
Somewhere a tree is paying for my mistake
