😠 The Little Annoyances Of Everyday Life (Part 1)

When of course, the fine residents of Fareham should be more alarmed that their kids can’t do A levels in the borough.

Technically, I think it means we need to reoccupy Brittany.

I think I can happily ignore the patriotic rallying cry of a ruthless Australian lunatic.

Builders, plasterers, electricians and plumbers who can’t be arsed to either turn up or to contact you.

What the fuck is wrong with them?

We are trying to give you money ya twats - just turn up and you get money for it - yes, it’s called business.

Or if you are being asked to do a job, answer the fucking phone.

If you don’t want the job just say, but don’t promise to turn up and then not bother.

No wonder we have a frigging housing crisis.

TBF, we’re all a bunch of wankers in the building game, but i don’t think we’re solely responsible for a housing crisis. A bit, mind.

Well done on getting back to me - that’s progress.

See if you can tell some of the other trades about this new concept.

When the groin Injury you’ve been nursing for 6 weeks goes TWANG just when you thought you could step up the exercise level.

Wondering if it might be a hernia problem. Anyone had one?

Sorry mate, I bunged them a few quid to come and do my job instead.

That’s capitalism for you.

:lou_wink:

Hmmm. I’ve pondered whether or not to start a physio questions thread but to be honest I’m far too lazy, and I mostly only really come on here to let my stupid out and talk about football (sometimes I do both at the same time). I’ll try this one though, was your ‘twang’ above or below the ‘funzone’? Or does it match up with any of these areas?

No its none of those areas.

The problem is at the join between the top of my leg and pubic bone / pelvis. It seems to be a muscle tear and I’m guessing that the muscle must attach somewhere in the pelvis.

There is a slight swelling that is level with the femoral one in your diagram. But it’s not on the leg but in the groin (edge of pelvis area).

BTW how did you know that I have no penis and unsightly warts all over my body?

PS after all that I’m guessing that you’re a sheet metal worker, right?

1/ Unlikely to be a hernia then, likely one of your hip adductor muscles, can take ages to settle as easily tweaked.

2/ Educated guess, based on clues provided to me by certain Sotonians on matchday drinking sessions. They all talk about you when you’re not there, which I don’t discourage.

3/ I am. Just with a penchant for discussing/examining groin injuries.

Lol.

What’s the best course of action, vag star?

Rest?

I strapped it up last night when I went out dancing with The RaleighBoy, and that gave some relief.

I also got a massage device* for Xmas and I’ve been massaging it** which seems to stimulate blood flow and makes it easier.

Anything else?

*Mrs Bletch basically bought me/her the world’s biggest vibrator.

**my penis, should I focus on my groin instead?

Focussing on your penis will provide you with some distraction and likely some temporary releif but will not resolve the injury, nor will it delay healing so crack on.

Massage and gentle stretches will help, as will light activity, otherwise the already tight adductors just heal tight and shortened, making them more likely to get strained again, this is why they tend to be niggly re-occurring problems.

Can I show you mine next?

Similar to his issue but I don’t whinge about it so much.

I put him on a course of Man-up tablets four times a day but he said he needs them in liquid form as he gets a sore throat if he doesn’t wear his winter cravat…

I think you should just live up to your native American Indian name bletch: Lunges-in-Lycra.

Whilst we look like brothers, they call us the scissor sisters.

Yoga was helping before it went twang again so I’ll build that up slowly.

As a sheet metal worker, you won’t know this but it looks like it’s my adductor longus or the adductor magnus as I can trace the painful muscle to the rear of my left leg.

However, it only really hurts significantly if I try to move my left leg towards my right such as trying to make my knees touch. Looking at that diagram and using my very rudimentary biology (O Level) knowledge, it looks like the adductor brevis that would control that but that seems to be on the top of the thigh.

You were right about the penis, BTW.

1/ Definite possibility.

2/ All of the adductor muscles will be involved with this movement.

3/ I didn’t need feedback for this (not that it isn’t appreciated), I was never in any doubt.

I suspect it was over enthusiastic ‘focus’ on his penis that caused the strain in the first place
