Govt tenders - I just want to do a bit of recruitment for one or two departments. This is what I have to read and complete

its no fucking surprise the govt bypassed the tender process when they needed masks. we would still be waiting for them to process the applications

There is something fundamentally broken in govt procurement

I feel your pain - I’ve experienced similar - wait until it comes to getting your invoices paid….

From the appearance of the prevailing light it seems the impending rainfall will carry a large proportion of the Sahara Desert with it.
On the bright side, my car was filthy already.

Mrs TB has tested positive and is isolating, so I am in charge of the household, and doing all the cooking.
Being in charge means I have to cook her breakfast, lunch and dinner, make copious cups of tea, coffee and cold drinks.
In fairness, she has been a bit I’ll - like a nasty cold - made worse by the fact that when I tested positive a few weeks ago and had to isolate, I had no symptoms at all - absolutely nothing, was just waited on and left alone to read books.
Good news is she is now on the mend on day 4. Her feeling better does have disadvantages.

You can fuck right off on that count!

My girlfriend has also got it, tested positive this morning after feeling a bit grotty. I’ve done two tests so far today, both negative, supposed to be going into the General next week for an annual endoscopy, not sure where that leaves me.

You might be up shit creek but at least nothing is going up your shit creek

Other end. Think Linda Lovelace as opposed to Alan Carr.

I thought petrol prices were going to drop now the cost of crude has gone down? £1.65 a litre at my local.

Quick to raise prices but slow to drop them :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Always the case crude was under us 100 per barrel yesterday

You can argue that the delay in prices falling is down to the time taken to get the barrel of oil refined and delivered to the petrol station. Also the time taken for the supply of higher priced petrol purchased by that station to be used

Its harder to understand the rapid price increase on that basis

I have sympathy with the petrol retailers as they make the thick end of fuck all on petrol sales, the profit is with the majors
