Not good

Three stabbed on Bournemouth beach. People shitting and pissing in Bournemouth resident’s gardens, shitting in empty burger boxes and leaving it on the beach for others to clear up. What the fuck is happening to this country?

We’ve become a nation of shithouses.

Could they tell the difference from a macdonalds?

The macdonalds would have a gerkin.

Besides being on a pub crawl, today I’m actually working. I finally collected my furlough pay this morning - phew, and have been snapping for our FB Page.
The news is that I’ve been invited to be radical. Tomorrow the Tourist Industry has a protest drive around town, doing French Farmer stuff to push local Gov to expand its marketing &new tour development budget ( I had a bit to do with that - tiny bit but)
Looking forward to watching on the news as I explained I dont think my Polish is good enough to debate politics with a Cop while blocking a motorway intersection with a banner.

Typical
you go over there, hardly paid any tax, now you’re blocking the streets and hanging political banners all over the place.

BLOODY FOREIGNERS. :rage:

And so the dam bursts
1st of many I expect

At least its something the Government are doing, the Chinese like the Russians are simply bullies, we need Trump out in November and a credible source to deal with these rogue states.

This is probably worth a thread on it’s own.

Wiggone?, perhaps?

Worrying

BBC News - Hundreds of elephants found dead in Botswana

Interesting article. But not sure logging is the cause.
The South & East of Poland has also seen almost daily flash flooding - some very close to us.
Villages far from the big mountains with tiny streams suddenly smashed. One had two inches of rain - in 20 MINUTES this week.
The warm dry winter has affected crops - that is an issue as we are the main EU exporter of fruit. Anyway this is our neighbour

BBC News - Ukraine floods: Why climate change and logging are blamed

From the article :-

Either way, without knowing the source, it is impossible to rule out the possibility of a disease crossing into the human population - especially if the cause is in either the water sources or the soil. Dr McCann points to the Covid-19 pandemic, which is believed to have started in animals.

“Yes, it is a conservation disaster - but it also has the potential to be a public health crisis,” he said.

The flash floods we had in just a 2 postcode area in Liverpool (13th June)whilst everywhere else in the City was just getting normal hard rain tells me future weather storms are going to be so localised it’ll be hard to protect, I’ve never seen rain like it in this Country, Garston was flooded in 30 mins yet Aigburth had normal rain.

Just finished “The Tatooist of Auschwitz”
amazing love story and what you had to do to be a survivor.

For me that is the lesson of visiting Auschwitz. Yes it stands to reind us to never again allow such horrors but the reality is that it stands as a beacon of hope for humanity, that it can survive.

Hopefully heading back there before the end of June as pre-booked holiday makers arrive

yep
it sadly also highlights the particular arbitrary nature of not surviving in that “Godless” place. :frowning:
