Today the Government removed VAT from Fuel, Animal Feed, Seeds & Fertilisers as well as some foodstuffs that used to have it.
It is a huge help fuel is now down 20p a litre since Xmas
Apparently you lot had to leave the EU in order to not do that yet

they have declined to remove VAT as it only benefits the average household Ā£90, benefits the wealthiest the most and may be regarded as a permanent subsidy. They are also concerned that the power companies wouldnāt pass the savings on
Instead they are going for a Ā£150 rebate on council tax for bands A-D
That actually seems sensible

And so all domestic electricity customers will receive a Ā£200 discount on their electricity bills from October and this discount will automatically be repaid from peopleās bills in equal Ā£40 instalments over the next five years.
Thatās a loan not a discount.
