I think weâve got a couple of problems going on here with regard to protest. On the one hand, youâve got a government that is set out to criminalise much of it. On the other, youâve got a load of things that genuinely need protest.
Just this week, the Tory majority voted to keep allowing the water companies to dump untreated sewage into our waters.
As protests become more illicit and the need to protest becomes greater, Iâd expect this all to get more extreme. I would not be surprised at a Pankhurst moment.
