So the story should have been some people die or are seriously ill through eating poisonous mushrooms and didnât recognize poisonous from edible varieties - and left the Afghan bit out.
This sort of lazy sensationalist reporting - looking for a âtopicalâ angle really pisses me off

Over here the story is being reported with a far more tragic vibe to it and people are genuinely upset.
Also we have 2 Afghan Refugee issues here, that the MSM in UK probably gets wrong.
Afghan refugees are being welcomed everywhere. Then there is the border with Belarus where the idiot is firing his Afghan refugees at the EU in a hybrid war.
Everyone feels sympathy for them but equally they are political capital and can fvck right off.

Itâs desperately sad but conflating eating the wrong mushrooms and Afghan refugees to get a story is pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable to get click-through & I used to be a staunch Grauniad reader, if only for the typos back in the day.
