Vast majority of coverage focuses on the attacker too. Anyone planning this sort of atrocity does so knowing theyâll get similar infamy.

I agree with your sentiments Chutters, but the news agencies have a resposbility to report on the facts. If it is a terrorism act it needs to be reported as such. Fortunately they are not dividing us and their sacrifices, as well as the loss of the victims, achieves precisely nothing, other than loss. There are some, as we see on here, that kick off about Muslims every time something like this happens - but they are in the minority. Yes, it plays into the hands of the xenophobes and Islamaphobes, but I also see more and more people standing up for unity and supporting the non-extremist Muslims.
I havenât a clue who the fuckinâ loser who drove into those people on Westminster Bridge was, nor do I want to know anything about him. Probably some hate filled criminal who wanted to make a name for himself. just another nobody who thankfully is no longer with us.
Youâd have gotten his life story on the mainstream channels. Whether you personally remember the specifics of who this man is doesnât really matter. The reaction has been all over the news and there have been times when weâve changed our laws to prevent more of this.
All of this feeds into extremists hands. They get to show that theyâre making an impact, that theyâre creating hysteria and turning our laws into those favoured by tyrants.
Yes, we have to report the news. We do not need to ruminate on the lives of the attackers for days on multiple channels. We should not sensationalise their crimes and lionise them in the eyes of other extremists in the process.
Whilst I am not interested in their names, I am curious about what makes reasonably intelligent people do something like this. I cant fathom what they think they are achieving by throwing their lives away and destroying the lives of others. Can they really believe that they will live in paradise and be served up with a bunch of virgins? Their names are instantly forgotten by the general public and ISIS clearly dont give a feck about them, other than being grateful for the publicity. They do not make an impact. Nothing has changed because of the attacks in London, Paris, Berlin etc. Nothing. Their sacrifice is totally pointless.
they should adopt a similar approach to when they dubbed Gerry Adamsâ voice. Instead of saying the attackers name and give him publicity they should name each one after a Disney character. Our do like they do with storms⌠Terrorist Doris has caused havoc in London.
