Real Betis working on a deal for Vincent Janssen but both Burnley and Cardiff have also expressed an interest for the Spurs striker.

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is currently speaking to the media before his side’s game at Burnley on Saturday.

He has suggested striker Charlie Austin could leave today if the club can find a replacement.

“We don’t want to send him away,” Hasenhuttl said.

“If there is an option and we can get someone in then it could be that this works. Until now it is not done.”

Asked if the club’s transfer business was done, the Austrian said: "No not yet.

"On the last day options come up and it show us chance to get an interesting player. We are still busy.

“The last day is a day everyone stops with their poker and the cards come on the table.”

Sky Sources: Burnley have had a second bid turned down by Birmingham City for striker Che Adams.

Sky Sources are telling us there is no movement on the Che Adams deal to Southampton .

Burnley remain favourites to sign Birmingham City’s star young striker Adams, if a deal can be done before tonight’s deadline, SSN has been told.

BREAKING NEWS

Birmingham City have told Burnley that under the terms of their EFL transfer embargo, they are not allowed to sell Che Adams and then loan him back, and so they are not interested in doing a deal, Sky Sports News understands.

Burnley were exploring that possibility as a compromise, so that Adams could be bought now, abut remain at St Andrews for the remainder of this season.

Southampton have rejected loan proposals from four Premier League clubs for striker Charlie Austin, according to Sky sources.

Something will only happen if it’s a permanent transfer.

AUSTIN SET TO STAY?

As Deadline Day progresses it seems unlikely Charlie Austin will be leaving Southampton in this window.

Austin trained today and is happy to stay fight for his place in the Southampton team. Last week Saints turned down a £7m bid from a Championship club for him.
