That could be seen as tantamount to psychological dwarfare.

Ffs
Nooooooooooooooooo
Could they be persuaded that the guy they really need is one Nathan Jones?
Hmmmm…
Welsh does sound a bit like Polish tbf
In what feels like a double dose of desperation PR, the club have announced this signing 45 minutes before kick off AND Adam Blackmore has just been told he’s going to be able to interview Sport Republic tomorrow.
Southampton v Man City (20:00 GMT)
Southampton have just confirmed the signing of 20-year-old Argentine midfielder Carlos Alcaraz from Racing Club.
The fee is thought to be about £12m.
Saints manager Nathan Jones said: "Charly’s arrival is another major addition for us. There has been a lot of interest around Europe, so it’s great to get him in and also to have done it quite early in the month.
"He will give us a really exciting option and add a bit more creativity into the side, which is something that will be a real benefit to us.
“I know how determined he is to get started and to help us, so we’re looking forward to getting to work with him and we’ll also make sure he has all the support needed to get settled in here.”
Talkshite, but still…
Alex Crook. Ignore.
Exactly what I was going to say…a man who has made a lot of money from knowing nothing.
Southampton have completed the transfer of midfielder Carlos Alcaraz from Argentine side Racing Club.
The 20-year-old Argentine has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract.
Racing said Saints have paid £13.65m euros (£12m) for Alcaraz, who is known as ‘Charly’, and that there is a 15% sell-on fee in the deal.
Is he known as Charly because of his use of it and that is why we got him on the cheap?
He was introduced to the crowd last night before the match
I wondered how long it would be until we were linked with Luton players.
The Rasmus Ankerson interview is on BBC Solent Sport at the moment.
You’ll probably not learn much. But:
Sport Republic don’t think they went extreme with too many young players.
sounds like they regret selling Romeu.
apparently Alcaraz is like a Tim Cahill or Frank Lampard type player who arrives in the box and scores goals.
apparently Sport Republic don’t dictate a back 3 but there are ‘principles’.
according to RA, Nathan Jones was the best manager in the “6th best league in the world in the world” last year.
still no mention of the lack of striker situation (but they’ll claim talking about it would compromise their attempts I suspect)
We have a nose for a bargain.
Which is definitely (not) to be sniffed at
Hopefully a smokescreen comment.
