All my Evertonian friends up here are glad to see the back of him, they can’t stand him. They can’t believe £45m either. Described to me as a shithouse footballer.

Will fit in well at Newcastle then.

Eddie Howe loves a diver.

Euphemism?

No! I just remember Howe’s Bournemouth going down as though there was a st Mary’s sniper.

He’s lost that award to Aston fucking Villa.

Last time we panic bought a striker for a record fee we bought Guido.
How did that work out again?

Has Daizen Maeda fallen off our radar? Just going to put this on record that the Japanese player at Brighton is going alright at the minute…

This story came up on my google feed earlier. It sums up how I imagine most players might react today, when given the news.

We need to sign Paul Mullins.
End of

It is truly laughable.

Who the fuck is this purple squirrel that they are looking for?

We don’t need the best - average would do - I would even be happier with not as mediocre

As I started out this year with no certain expectations, I am neither surprised nor disappointed that Saints would have not signed a big and ugly goal scoring centre forward this window.
If they had signed one, I would have been shocked and stunned!

If we can’t compete then not only are we destined for the Championship but it’s also the most appropriate place for us and Sport Republic.

€30m for someone we never heard of a week ago.

Insanity

Maybe we’ll call someone’s bluff late tomorrow and find a bargain basement Mane.

But if there are no strikers around and atm it looks that way for ANY money, what choice is there?

Apart from Paul Mullins

It is ridiculous but I bet most English football fans hadn’t heard of Mudryk until recently or Enzo Fernandez until the World Cup. £90m and £120m respectively now.

Consequently, £30m, whilst a lot for us on the basis that we’ve never spent anywhere near as much, isn’t actually that much in this day and age. Thanks in large part to the Yanks and dirty oil money that has corrupted football in the country.

PS - this is in no way me saying that we should pay that for this particular bloke. Just that there will come a time where we have to unless you only target utter shite or those who have run their contracts down. But even then we’d have plenty of competition who are all ready to gazump us.

Here’s the latest rumour, ready to be filed away under the category of “okay, sure :+1:”.
