The January 2018 Transfer window:- speculation, rumours, dummy spitting, it's all here

I’d argue that Hoj has definitely improved under MP, though that may be just down to game time, who knows. I think Long is playing better too, though not scoring.

Still, why the fuck Gabby doesn’t get more games is beyond me. He’s a classy player but often hamstrung by our midfielders’ seeming inability to actually pass to him.

I always thought it was after the fracas at the Southsea nightclub when he ended up with a back injury. Many years ago now, so the memory can play tricks. What I’d give for us to find another kid playing park football with his eye for a goal!

Højbjerg has definitely improved, but i doubt that has anything to do with the manager.

His agent said at the beginning of the season “no more excuses”, then he had some time off for his kids birth and came back leaner and more determined than ever. I say it was the birth of his child(after the lose of his father devastated him so much) that made him reevaluate himself and his goals in life. He really did look a different person on his return.

Sviatchenko has gone back to his previous club on loan for the rest of the season. Another one to cross off the list, if he was ever on it!

re Garibaldi, yes he is a class player, yes he has a footballing brain BUT (and this is a big but) he doesn’t fit the team or the team don’t fit him.

He’s always looking for jinking rusn and through balls which our players just don’t provide.

He hasn’t go the pace to chase a long ball over the top as Long has and he hasn’t got Austin’s bulk so can’t shrug defenders off…

Great player, wrong team.

Saying that MoPo MKII maybe should makes the players play to Garibaldi’s strengths when he’s on the pitch.

Unfortunately, as we all know, he is not allowed to do that

Walcott set for Everton medical

SIMON JONES: Theo Walcott is expected at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground today ahead of completing his £20million plus move from Arsenal.

The 28-year-old has opted for Everton ahead of interest from former club Southampton and Bournemouth.

Definitely the former!

I may regret this statement in a couple of months time when he’s had a regular run of games and has got his form back! However the way BFS plays I don’t think is totally compatible with the best Theo…

‘Boo’ on the purely rational basis that he was quite clearly our number one target. Therefore, one can reasonably assume that our second choice target is deemed less ideal/good by the black box and powers that be.

I’m keen to see if the manager is capable of doing something with his preferred targets in place, at the very least so that we can rule out that one as an excuse.

Bullet dodged - he will be injured next week

I’m not sure that many teams will shit themselves at an attacking force of Tosun, Rooney and Walcott, to be honest. I’m also not sure that the Everton fans will be too pleased at the apparent plan for ‘direct football’ either - lump it to Tosun, knock it down, get Rooney, Walcott and Sigurdsson in and around it.

acquiring a player whilst he still adorns cycling shorts to presumably ensure against yet another hamstring injury is never wise |MO.

VVD wore those bad boys too and aside from being a cunt he wasn’t bad.

He does currently have a thigh injury tho.

True but that was not related to football. I have it on good authority he strained it whilst ‘tea bagging’ Lovren.

Really? I’ve seen nothing other than speculation and rumour to suggest that he was a target at all, let alone our number one target. Add his wages to Arsenal’s reported asking price and he looks a massively unlikely target for us.

Ordinarily I would agree with you whole heartedly, that he isnt our type of target, but on this occasion I believe he genuinely was. Pellegrino’s responses to questions about Walcott in at least 2 or 3 press conferences support that. He didn’t bat those questions away - he all but confirmed it. Please don’t make me go back and find them!

Also in more reliable articles by Jeremy Wilson etc.

Ordinarily we arent 1 point above the bottom 3 after 23 games. So perhaps the club are shitting themselves and wanted a player with pace, goals and premier league experience. Who else fits that description that we stand the remotest chance of getting?

The Daniel Sturridge rumour is most likely bullshit though.

Saved me the effort of typing, Flyd.

If we were ever interested it surely would have finished very soon after the fee and wages were mentioned.

A loan might have suited both parties (Walcott and us) but probably not Arsenal.

It obviously suits Walcott’s agent to talk about competition for Theo’s signature though. But that’s a lazy assumption of my part.

I wouldn’t be surprised to get through the January window and not sign anyone.

It’s not a good time to buy quality. And Les’ Reed has “we’ll only dip into the transfer market if it improves the quality of the squad” tattooed on his tiny cock.

Wow that Southampton FC smokescreen working again. Less direct than last Jan when Reed said he would replace Fonte in January and didnt. Sea fog

Really its amazing anyone believes this shit.

Im getting ready for the 'Oh it is a very difficult transfer window in January I know we said we would replace Fonte before he left but this transfer business is very complicated and the prices are too high for our owners… I mean the club. We march on ’

Than we will get schooled in high finace by being told if we buy two players that two sets of wages!

Who would have thought.

Best off being happy with 2 window cleaners for St Marys while Kat Liebree counts her pile
