RIP Ivor Robson, the voice of The Tour & especially The Open.
Ivor retired in 2015, but that meant I had the amazing honour of actually working with him for 7 years at the end of season DPWTC event and even being a poor version of him one year in the ProAm 10th Tee,
In 2015, his last ever event, Keith Pelley tipped me off that there was to be “a presentation” and I then (quietly) let the crowd around the 1st Tee know. Whoever was leading at the time Teed off and nobody moved. Some of the early starters (including Henrik) rushed back to make it in time for the “little moment”
